Richard Bayliss

Richard Bayliss
Managing Director

Richard spent his early working years with the Inland Revenue in Northamptonshire and the Home Counties, moving to a large tax company in London before deciding to go it alone in the late eighties. His previous partnership was a success and became a well established firm, attracting clients from all over the UK.

In March 1999 he formed LowTax Ltd, while retaining many of his former clients. Richard is passionate about saving people money, and his detailed tax knowledge means you will always be on the right side of the law. He is highly regarded in the field, providing content for a number of external bodies, such as Contractor UK, and we are sure you won’t find anyone who enjoys tax as much as he does!

Outside of work, Richard loves spending time with his three children and supporting the England football team at home and away

Lee Jenkins

Lee Jenkins
Practice Operations Director

Lee joined The LowTax Group in early 2002 and has worked in a variety of roles within the group. In 2011 she was appointed as Practice Operations Director where she is responsible for the successful operational management of the practice, co-ordinating the successful management of client accounts and resolving client enquiries.

She has gained over 20 years’ experience in financial accounting and payroll, having previously worked for multinational commercial organisations and in Accounting Practice, including one of the top four firms.

Lee has 8 grandchildren that keep her entertained in her spare time. She has a keen interest in reading, nutrition and healthy eating and is currently training for the Brentwood half marathon.


Catherine Hughes
Marketing Manager

Catherine has been working as Marketing Manager at The LowTax Group since June 2012 after having spent 7 years within HR & Recruitment. She joined The LowTax Group to take responsibility for developing and implementing marketing strategies for the Group. She is responsible for managing all social media platforms for the business and continually measures the effectiveness of marketing initiatives for the company both at a local and national level. Catherine also looks at initiatives to ensure commitment to excellent customer service to clients of The LowTax Group is continually maintained.

In her spare time Catherine enjoys going to the gym and socialising with her friends.

Jason Munroe

Jason Munro
Tax Director

Jason specialises in all forms of Personal Tax, with 17 years experience dealing with all aspects of tax compliance, HMRC Enquiries and Tax Planning advice. He has had past experience in Company Restructuring, Share Options Schemes and Business Disposals. He deals with HNWI, successful entrepreneurs, family run businesses and property developers/investors.

He takes a hands on, pragmatic approach to the issues arising, and has a close working relationship with his clients. He has a passion to offer holistic solutions to his clients that minimise the tax exposure whilst delivering the results they want.

Jason also advises on all Offshore Disclosure Facilities, and has worked on several successful Lichtenstein Disclosure Facility declarations.

In his spare time (which is limited with 2 young children!), Jason is a wannabe chef and has a passion for all things food and drink. He is also a keen runner, an average golfer (although still better than Richard) and loves a wide range of music.

Sean Tierney

Accounts Manager

Sean has recently joined the team (May 2016) from a local Chartered Accountancy Practice and now heads up the firms accounts department. In his previous role he controlled and managed all audit and accounts assignments, alongside various management accounts, due diligence and cash flow projects. Sean will be bringing his expertise and energy to The Low Tax Group to further improve the client service levels it offers through his position as Accounts Manager.

Outside of work Sean spends most of his spare time enjoying life with his family and perfecting the art of the BBQ….. it’s a work in progress!

Haeso Lakte

Tax Manager

Haeso is a chartered accountant with over 12 years experience in accounting, finance and tax.

He recently joined The LowTax Group after previously working within the private, charity and public sector and has been working in practice for 5 years. With tax being Haeso’s main area of responsibility he has previously helped many individuals and businesses with their tax compliance and now looks forward to helping many of our clients keep what they earn.

Aside from work, he loves reading, listening to music, watching and playing football.


Jill Hynes
Head of Administration / PA to Richard Bayliss

Jill heads up a busy admin department, overseeing and ensuring all new clients are managed and dealt with efficiently. She is also PA to Richard Bayliss (when he is around to manage) and is currently assisting in the growth of Low Tax Franchise.

In her spare time Jill loves watching films, reading and looking after her family. She enjoys walking, having nights out and holidaying with her friends

Jodie Hoy

Receptionist / Marketing Assistant

Jodie’s role involves dealing with a busy reception, answering calls and dealing with the clients. She provides marketing support to Catherine by organising client events, ordering marketing materials and promoting the company through social media.

Jodie loves to shop and spend time with her family and friends.

Vicky Sale

Systems Manager

Having been part of the Team at The LowTax Group for over 14 years, Vicky uses her extensive client expertise and broad skill set to assist in the successful running of the business. As Systems Manager, Vicky is integral to the streamlining of processes and procedures, which allows the team to provide a faster, smarter and better service than your typical accountancy practice. In turn this ensures clients receive exceptional value in their accounts production and are able to utilise their financial information in real time to make informed decisions.

Vicky is also responsible for all aspects of the Internal Bookkeeping & Accounts Payable.


Reece Dimech
Tax Associate

Reece’s role involves preparing and filing client’s tax returns. In his spare time he enjoys socialising with friends and is a motor enthusiast!  


Lisa Smith
Tax Associate (Payroll)

Lisa joined The LowTax Group after working in payroll for various types of businesses, including recruitment and Law firms for the last 8 years.

In her spare time she enjoys socialising with her friends and keeping fit.


Tabitha Grant
Client Services Associate

Tabitha is an ACCA Finalist who has recently joined The LowTax team. She has vast experience in bookkeeping, preparation of VAT returns and annual accounts and is now enjoying working with our clients and helping them keep what they earn. In her spare time she enjoys car racing, swimming and watching her sons play football.


Helen Claire
Tax Associate

Helen has over 20 years’ experience in Admin and as a PA within the financial sector. She provides support to the Tax team and takes care of the payroll needs of our clients.

Outside of the office, Helen enjoys singing, bird-watching, and spending time with her son.

Ann Jones

Ann Jones
Accounts Associate- VAT

Ann brings over 30 years accounts experience to the company, having worked for various accountancy practices including a ‘Top 10’ firm. Ann has a wide knowledge of bookkeeping, vat and accounts, ranging from sole traders to large asset management companies.

Outside of the office, Ann enjoys listening to music and reading. She also enjoys spending time with her grandchildren.


Darren Clark
Client Services Associate

Darren is AAT qualified and has 14 years experience within bookkeeping and accounting, spread over roles in both industry and practice.

In his spare time Darren is a keen road cyclist, avid football supporter and motorcycle racing enthusiast.


James Poole
Client Services Manager

James joined The LowTax Group in late 2015 coming from a background of mainly B2B, but has spent 5 years working in the financial industry. He is familiar to many of our clients having previously worked closely with The LowTax Group as a Key Business Introducer. His success is derived from his ‘outside the box’ thinking and ability to build the foundations of a business relationship from very little. James concentrates on maintaining relationships and delivering the best possible service to his portfolio. He is always proactively looking for growth, holding many strong relationships from his days in the financial Industry. James likes to be his customers first port of call, ensuring that the pillar of their relationship is the knowledge and understanding he can provide. When he isn’t working, James loves spending time with his family and watching sports.


Calum Gaffney
Apprentice Tax Associate

Calum’s role in the Tax team involves preparing tax returns and processing payrolls.
He is currently studying towards an AAT qualification. In his free time he enjoys building computers, as well as (desperately) trying to improve his culinary skills.


Cynthia Wu
Accounts Associate

Cynthia is an ACCA fully qualified accountant with 8 years accountancy experience in London and Essex, working in practice firms. Her role in The LowTax Group is the preparation of year end accounts and Corporation tax returns. She moved to the UK from China in 2001 and obtained her Master’s degree of International Business at Aston University in Birmingham.

Outside of work, Cynthia loves travelling and walking. She is also a very keen gardener and has a little allotment for growing her own veg.


Seb Sharpe

Seb joined The LowTax Group in 2016 as part of the company administration team. He has previously worked in the financial services background which also included banking.

In his spare time he enjoy’s watching films, socialising with friends and learning to cook!


Susie Horner
Accounts Associate

Susie has 12 years experience in preparing VAT returns and running payroll. She is responsible for bookkeeping, preparing VAT returns, annual accounts and ensuring clients receive an excellent service.

Susie loves spending her spare time with her children and grandchildren, travelling, reading and listening to a variety of music.
